ARR- Emergency Relief

ARR's emergency services are dedicated to providing immediate relief and support to communities affected by crises and disasters in Afghanistan. We work tirelessly to deliver essential supplies, offer medical assistance, deliver food packages and ensure the safety and well-being of those in need during times of adversity.

Salam Foundation previously known as ARR has implemented over 280 projects in the areas related to rehabilitation, school construction, education and emergency relief  and also participated and contributed to democracy, governance and human rights approaches by conducting civic advocacy and contributing to the legislative framework of Afghanistan etc. in the eastern, center, southern and south eastern Afghanistan, under the new entity the entire activities and approaches will be globalized without considering the boundaries and limitations drawn by the international funding and with more focus on several categories, including management, research, communications, donor relations, public relations, and legal support beyond the following 03 main components such as ;  Emergency relief, health and education support and the rehabilitation services under Salam Initiative. 

Salam Foundation serves as a platform for communities to engage in a coordinated body which bridges local and international resources to sustain organizational capacity by providing strategic planning, implementation strategies, supervision, monitoring and evaluation through research and analysis.

 Salam Foundation shall operate on the principles of social justice, transparency, collective impact and community engagement for the people, by the people. 

 Salam Foundation seeks to impress    strategy, implementation and funding to remain locally, while still accomplishing the required outcomes internationally.  We recognize the corruption and the lack of accountability and transparency of non-profits and we seek to remedy this under the principles of Salam Foundation. We will also provide evaluation tools and provide strategy, guidance and recommendations to local non-profit organizations.

 Salam Foundation is a multi-cultural team, well connected locally and internationally with a breadth and depth of expertise, networks and acumen for civic engagement, community empowerments, individual rights and program related strategy and implementation.

Salam means Peace and it shall:

1.       Protect the integrity of our client’s mission

2.       Educate to raise awareness and empower communities locally and globally.

3.       Advocate on sectorial issues and activities through research and analysis.

4.       Consult through the life cycle of a project, creating sustainable systems.

5.       Engage communities in a meaningful way

Immediate Objective

Our projection is to acquire some seed and developmental grants to develop the website and to provide the basics and in a long term acquire 2-3 large scale international contracts within the first year of business and grow exponentially to expand our reach through out Afghanistan   At this time, our team has a key strategist in Afghanistan affairs and as an organization we seek to acquire  funding to provide strategy and implementation of some key UN initiatives. The momentum of this capacity growth internationally will also allow us to secure more funding locally and nationally within the nonprofit sector.

Nature: Salam Foundation is a non-government; non-political and non-profitable organization established in lieu to the previously established NGO titled Afghan Relief and Rehabilitation in 1990 and with new registration under the SALAM FOUNDATION-ARR.

Goal: Salam Foundation shall serve as a platform for communities to engage in a coordinated body which bridges local and international resources to sustain organizational capacity by providing strategic planning, implementation strategies and information through research and analysis.

Objectives: Salam Foundation is created to meet the following objectives:

To identify, bridge and mobilize, developmental and rehabilitation needs of.

  1. the Afghan Citizens and Society

  2. To seek financial resources and implementation possibilities for the planned Sectoral
    programs and rehabilitation projects in Afghanistan.

  3. To convey donor’s assistance to Afghan society through implementing of any
    sectoral projects with focus on the democracy and governmental portfolio
    without any discrimination

  4. To help the process of a smooth resettlement and exchange of educational
    programs for Citizen of Afghanistan as per international standards  

  5. To fight effectively the corruption and its different levels in Afghanistan

  6. To establish coordination mechanisms to link and bridge resources locally and
    internationally for Afghanistan

  7. To contribute to the Integrity, Accountability and Efficiency of Civil
    Society in Afghanistan

  8. To advocate for peace building and Reconciliations initiatives among the
    civil society of Afghanistan

  9. To hold events to introduce the culture and social trends of Afghanistan to
    the rest of the world

  10. To directly implement democracy and governance programs and building the
    economic and social infrastructure of the war-torn Afghanistan.

  11. To workout plans for rural development in order to improve the living
    standard plans of community level in the country according to the
    government development plans and funding assistances.

  12. To work with Youth and Women for inclusiveness and to empower them as a part
    of the Society under the context of Social accountability and community
    empowerment.
